At the start of WWII, Harry fled to the west from the communists in his homeland and was captured by the German Army. Harry was born in the Rochester sister city of Poltava, Ukraine, on June 3, 1920. He is survived by his two children, Alex (Valerie) Hrabko, Annette Montstream grandchildren, Andrew, Robyn & Amber Hrabko, Christie & Lyndsey Montstream. Opening at the beginning of the Great Depression, most of the offices in the Empire State Building remained unoccupied for years and the observation deck was an equal source of revenue and kept the building profitable.
